11. Test slopes 4, 6, 8 and 10 %

The slopes are intended for testing vehicles braking performance and determining parking braking efficiency.

The facility includes: 4, 6, 8 and 10% slopes, upper and lower platforms, an experimental platform paved with basalt tiles, sections connecting the slopes. In the middle part of an 8% slope, an experimental platform 15 m long and 3 m wide, paved with basalt tiles with a low adhesion coefficient, is built into the asphalt concrete pavement.

Dimensions:

  • The total length of the four slopes with sections connecting them is 4.957 km.

  • The carriageway width is 7 m

Surface:

The surface is asphalt concrete on a cement concrete base.
